Brandon would like to wish you a Good Morning.
Brandon was rescued a few years ago after being dropped off by a family who either no longer wanted him or could not care for him. Left on his own and unsure of where to go or what to do, Brandon integrated into one of the feral colonies here at the Sanctuary but it soon became very apparent there was a problem.
When Brandon was missing we would call to see if he would come but he never seemed to show up like the other cats. When I did see him he was always very friendly and wanted pets and cuddles.
One day he was sitting by the feeding station and I called him to let him know I was there with his dinner. He didn’t even respond but startled when he woke up and turned around to see me standing there. He was so afraid that he suddenly jumped and took off running as fast as he could to a place where he felt safe.
It was then I realized the little guy was deaf or partially deaf and needed to be moved inside. After several unsuccessful attempts at trying to put Brandon in a carrier I decided the best move was to try to trap Brandon. After trapping Brandon we took him to the vet to have his ears checked and found out that he can hear high pitched sounds but they really hurt his ears so he needed to be somewhere that was quiet with very few high pitched sounds. The vet also found that Brandon had not been neutered so we scheduled his appointment to have him neutered and fully vaccinated and during the surgery they would take a better look at his ears and clean them since they were pretty full of wax.
Thanks to you Bandon is now safe and living his best life.
happy for Brandon 😀
